The AWA Art Gallery

Artist Zainol Arifin and his son share the stories behind the paintings.

The AWA Art Gallery is a changing exhibition in our office and it’s offered exclusively for sale to our members. The art features local artists whose works are imbued with meaning and memories of life in Singapore and the region of Southeast Asia. AWA members gathered in September for an Artist Talk by Zainol Arifin who shared his memories of Singapore’s traditional markets, kampong life and festivals which serve as the inspiration for his vibrant paintings.

Join us in the AWA offices for our next Artist Talk on Tuesday, 10 December at 2 pm when Deborah McKellar of Talking Textiles will share the inspiration and craft behind her beautiful artwork. A selection of Deborah’s fine art prints celebrating Singapore’s heritage sites and everyday scenes will be on view and available for purchase in the AWA offices through January.
